Pineapple Kulukki Sarbath (Shaken Lemonade with Pineapple)

 

      "Pineapple  Kulukki Sarbath " - a slightly spicy, salty  and sweet refreshing drink from Kerala. It is actually a shaken lemonade  made from lemon, ginger, green chilli ,soaked basil seeds and freshly chopped pineapple pieces. The name "Kulukki Sarbath" came because all these ingredients are shaken rigorously  in  a shaker  along with ice cubes and served. This  is a perfect drink  for a really busy and tiring day.

Ingredients

• Lemon -2
• Pineapple - 2 tbsp (chopped)
• Basil Seeds (Takmaria) - 1 tbsp
• Green Chilli -1 (chopped)
• Ginger - 1 1/2 tsp  (chopped)
• Sugar Syrup - To taste
• Salt  - To taste
• Ice cubes - few
• Water  - 2 cup

Method

1. Soak basil seeds in water for 15 mins.
2. In a shaker add all the ingredients and shake well for 20 sec.
3. Pour into a glass and serve  chilled with ice cubes.

Notes

• Add sugar salt and green chilli as per your taste.
