Cheera Thoran (Spinach Dal Stir Fry)
Ingredients
- Spinach chopped (green) - 3 cup
- Cooked Chana Dal - 1/4 cup
- Green Chilli -1 (chopped)
- Curry Leaves - few
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Red Chilli flakes - 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
- Oil- 1 tsp
- Salt - To taste
To Grind (Coarse)
- Coconut - 1/4 cup
- Pearl Onion - 2 nos
- Jeera (Cumin) -1 pinch
- Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
- Salt - 1 pinch
Method
- In a pan add oil. Splutter mustard seeds, split urad dal, whole red chilli, curry leaves. Add chopped spinach and salt sauté for 2 mins until spinach is cooked and all water is dried up.
- Add cooked dal and mix well.
- Add grounded coconut mixture and sauté for 2-3 mins.
- Serve hot with rice.
