Kovakka Mezhukkupuratti (Ivy Gourd /Tindora Stir Fry)



Ingredients
  • Kovakka  - 250 gms
  • Onion - 1 small  finely sliced
  • Green Chilli - 3 chopped
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp 
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - To taste
  • Curry leaves - few
  • Oil - as needed


Method
  1. Clean and wash  kovakka and slice them to fine thin rings.
  2. Marinate with salt, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and green chilli,curry leaves and set aside for 20 minutes.
  3. In a pan add oil, add onions and saute till it becomes golden brown
  4. Add chilli and turmeric powder and a pinch of salt.
  5. Now add sliced kovakkaand cover and cook.
  6. Stir occasionally till it becomes nice and brown.
  7. Serve hot with rice.
