Kovakka Mezhukkupuratti (Ivy Gourd /Tindora Stir Fry)
Ingredients
- Kovakka - 250 gms
- Onion - 1 small finely sliced
- Green Chilli - 3 chopped
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - To taste
- Curry leaves - few
- Oil - as needed
Method
- Clean and wash kovakka and slice them to fine thin rings.
- Marinate with salt, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and green chilli,curry leaves and set aside for 20 minutes.
- In a pan add oil, add onions and saute till it becomes golden brown
- Add chilli and turmeric powder and a pinch of salt.
- Now add sliced kovakkaand cover and cook.
- Stir occasionally till it becomes nice and brown.
- Serve hot with rice.
