Vanpayar Mezhukkupuratti
Ingredients

- Vanpayar(red bean)- 1cup
- Onion/Shallots - 1/2 cup (sliced)
- Curry Leaves
- Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
- Dried red chilli - 2
- Green Chilli - slit
- Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
- Salt - To taste
- Water - 1 cup
Method

- Soak vanpayar overnight.
- In a pressure cooker add soaked vanpayar along with salt, water,turmeric powder , green chilli until done.
- Heat a pan. Add oil and splutter mustard seeds, dried red chilli and curyy leaves.
- Saute sliced onion, r and saute till light brown.
- Add chilli and turmeric powder and saute .
- Add cookedpayar and saute well.
- Serve hot with rice.
