Chicken Toast




"Chicken Toast" is a delicious snack or appetizer where bread slices are coated with minced chicken along with spring onions, ginger and other seasonings , topped with  white sesame seeds and pan fried or grilled till golden brown.




Ingredients
  • Chicken - 200 gms (boneless)
  • Butter - 1 tbsp +1 tbsp for frying
  • Cornflour- 1 tbsp
  • Green chilli -1 (finely chopped)
  • Ginger - 1 tsp (finely chopped)
  • Bread - 5 slices
  • Spring onions- 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
  • Salt -as needed 
  • Pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • Egg white - 2 tbsp
  • White Sesame seeds- 2 tbsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp



Method
  1. Finely chop chicken to very fine pieces.Once chopped,add 1 tbsp buter and chop again
  2. Add ginger , spring onions. salt, pepper, green onions and mix well.
  3. Now add cornflour and egg white and mix to form a roughly coarse paste.
  4. Divide this paste into 5 pasrts and spread it on one side of each of the 5 bread slices.
  5. Sprinkle white sesame seedson top.
  6. On a  heated pan (medium to low heat) add  1 tbsp butter and oil.Place the bread slices with chicken side down.
  7. Toast it till golden brown and then flip the other side.
  8. Toast till both sides are golden and crisp. (add more oil or butter if needed)
  9. Remove from heat, cut the edges and slice to small pieces.
  10. Serve hot with ketchup


Notes
  1. Use skinless chicken breast.
  2. You can also deep fry the bread slices or bake them till crisp and golden
  3. Cut the edges only after frying as it will give more hold to bread and prevent from breaking up.
