Padavalanga Chemeen (Snake Gourd and Prawns) Thoran
Ingredients

- Prawns (chemmeen) - 250 gm
- Padavalanga (Snake Gourd) - 11/2 cup (chopped)
- Onion - 1/4 cup (chopped)
- Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
- Green chilly - 3 (slit)
- Curry leaves - 2 spring
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Oil - 2 tbsp
To grind (to coarse)

- Coconut - 1/2 cup
- Pearl onion(kunjulli) - 2 nos
- Jeera (cumin) - 1 pinch
- Salt - 1 pinch
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Method

- Clean and de -vein the prawns .
- Cook snake-gourd, onion,and prawns in 1/2 cup water with salt, turmeric powder and green chilly until done and all the water has evaporated.
- Grind ingredients in "To grind".
- In a pan add oil.Splutter mustard seeds followed by curry leaves.
- Add cooked snake gourd and prawns to this and saute for 2 mins.
- Now add grounded coconut mixture and cook for 2 more mins.
- Add 1 tsp coconut oil and fresh curry leaves at top
- Serve hot with rice.
