Ingredients

  • Soaked  Green Gram (cherupayar) - 2/3 cup
  • Green Chilli - 3 nos
  • Salt - To Taste
  • Turmeric Powder - 1 pinch
  • Thin Coconut Milk - 2/3 cup
  • Thick Coconut Milk  - 1/2 cup
  • Oil - 1tsp
  • Curry Leaves - 1 spring
  • Water - 1/2 cup

Method
----------

  1. Cook soaked cherupayar with water, salt and turmeric powder for 1 whistle.
  2. When the pressure is released, open the lid and add thin coconut milk and bring to boil. 
  3.  Reduce flame and add thick coconut milk.
  4. Switch off and add 1 tsp oil and curry leaves at the top.It enhances the taste.
  5. Tastes best with puttu.
