Prawns Fry
Ingredients
- Tiger Prawns -10 nos
 - Ginger Garlic Paste - 1/2 tsp
 - Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
 - Red Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
 - Crushed Pepper powder - 1 tsp
 - Curry Leaves chopped - 1 tsp
 - Lemon juice - 1 tsp
 - Salt - to taste
 - Onion sliced - 1/2 cup
 - Oil -for frying
 
Method
- Clean and de- vein the prawns well.
 - Marinate Prawns with ingredients from 2 to 8 and keep aside for minimum of 20 minutes.
 - Add oil to a heated pan and fry the prawns till both sides are cooked and brown.
 - Drain and keep them aside . On the same pan, in the left over oil, saute sliced onions adding a bit of salt until they are wilted and slightly brown.
 - Now place the sauted onion as a layer on the serving plate.
 - Top it with fried prawns and garnish with onion rings .
 - Serve hot with nadan kuthari choru (rice).
 
- Be very careful when cleaning prawns . De - vein them properly else it may cause stomach problems.
 - Bigger size and fresh prawns taste best for this recipe
 - Do not overcook prawns as they will turn rubbery.
 - Coconut Oil gives the authentic taste to this recipe.
