Prawns Fry





Ingredients

  1. Tiger Prawns -10 nos
  2. Ginger Garlic Paste - 1/2 tsp
  3. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  4. Red Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  5. Crushed Pepper powder - 1  tsp
  6. Curry Leaves chopped - 1 tsp
  7. Lemon juice - 1 tsp
  8. Salt - to taste
  9. Onion sliced - 1/2 cup
  10. Oil -for frying




Method
  1. Clean and  de- vein the prawns well.
  2. Marinate Prawns with  ingredients from 2 to 8 and keep aside for minimum of 20 minutes.
  3. Add oil to a heated pan and fry the prawns till both sides are cooked and brown.
  4. Drain and keep them aside . On the same pan, in the left over oil, saute sliced onions adding a bit of salt until they are wilted and slightly brown.
  5. Now place the sauted onion as a layer on the serving plate.
  6. Top it with fried prawns and garnish with onion rings .
  7. Serve hot with nadan kuthari choru (rice).

Notes
  1. Be very careful when cleaning prawns . De - vein them properly else it may cause stomach problems.
  2. Bigger size and fresh prawns taste best for this recipe
  3. Do not overcook prawns as they will turn rubbery.
  4. Coconut Oil gives the authentic taste to this recipe.
