Mango Falooda







"Mango Falooda" is a perfect summer dessert which is packed with the flavors made from  the ingredients with mangoes.This  variation of normal falooda ( a popular dessert ) is made by  layering a tall glass with, freshly chopped mangoes, mango puree, mango ice cream,  and soaked basil seeds and topped with  cherries, mango cubes and nuts.Now  that this is the season  of mangoes , this delicious dessert is a perfect treat  and is super cooling  for the summer season.





Ingredients
  • Mango - 1 finely chopped
  • Mango Puree - 2 cup
  • Homemade Mango Ice cream
  • Falooda sev/ Vermicelli - 1/2 cup
  • Milk - 2 cup
  • Sugar - as needed
  • Condensed Milk -1/4 cup
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Basil seeds (sabja seeds) - 3 tbs
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Chopped  Pista, Almonds, Cashew
  • Cherries 


Method

  1. Boil falooda sev/ vermicelli in 2 cups of water. Once cooked , rinse in cold water and strain.
  2. To a pan add milk and allow to boil. Add cooked Sev, Sugar and Condensed milk. (sugar Level can be varied according to one's taste).
  3. Allow to cool and transfer to refrigerator.
  4. Add  basil seeds to water and keep aside for 1/2 an hour till they bubble  up.
  5. Then drain excess water and keep aside.
  6. In a tall glass add alternative layers of basil seeds, falooda sev mixture, mango puree, chopped mangoes, nuts.
  7. Top it with a big scoop of homemade mango ice cream.
  8. Garnish with chopped nuts and cherries.
