Fish Pulao
Ingredients

- Boneless fish - 2 fillet
- Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Red Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
- Lemon juice - 1 tsp
- Salt - as needed
- Onion - 1 cup + 1/4 cup thinly sliced
- Green Chilli - 2 chopped
- Cashews - 10 nos
- Cilantro - a handful
- Salt - to taste
- Oil- as needed for frying fish
- Ghee - 2 tbsp
- Basmati rice - 11/2 cup
- Water - as needed to cook rice
- Butter - 1 tbsp
- Cardamom - 3 pods
- Bay leaf - 1
- Peppercorns - 5 nos
Method

- Clean and cut fish fillet to small pieces and marinate with ingredients numbered 2 to 7.
- Cook the basmati rice with enough water, salt and keep aside.
- In a pan add ghee and fry 1/4 cup onions till golden brown followed by cashews.
- Drain and keep them aside.
- In a pan add oil and shallow fry fish pieces. Drain and keep aside.
- In the same pan add butter.Splutter cardomom, bay leaf and peppercorns.
- Add sliced onions and green chilli and saute till it gets light brown.
- Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder salt and saute well.
- Add cooked rice and mix well.
- Now add fried fish pieces and fresh chopped coriander leaves and mix gently without breaking fish pieces
- Garnish with fried onions and cashews
- Serve with salad, pappad and pickle.
