Chicken Alfredo Pizza
Ingredients
- Butter - 1 tbsp
- Cornmeal - 2 tbsp
- All purpose flour - 2 tbsp
- Chicken breast cooked and sliced - 3/4 cup
- Bell pepper - 1/4 cup sliced
- Onion- 2 tbsp (sliced)
- Red chili flakes- 1/4 tsp
- Italian seasoning- 1/4 tsp
Ingredients for pizza dough
- All purpose flour - 11/2 cups
- Instant yeast 1 tsp
- Sugar 1 tbsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Butter 1 tbsp
- Lukewarm water 1/2 cup
- Milk 3 tbsp
Method
- Activate the yeast by dissolving sugar in water and add yeast . Keep it undisturbed for 5 mins until it becomes frothy.
- To this add flour milk and salt and knead well to form a sticky dough
- Add 1 tbsp butter at last and knead well to form a smooth dough
- Cover with a damp cloth and keep it aside for about 45 minutes to 1 hr (until the dough doubles in size)
- After 1 hr punch down the dough and roll it into a circle dusting cornmeal and flour
- Add a layer of shredded cheese .
- Add adequate amount of Alfredo sauce
- Add the toppings of your choice (here i've added chicken , green bell pepper, onion)
- Add another layer of shredded cheese and seasonings of your choice(Italian seasoning, chilli flakes
- Preheat oven at 460F for 5 mins
- Bake the pizza for about 15 to 20 mins until it turns gold and crispy on edges.
To make Alfredo sauce
- Butter 2 tbsp
- Garlic - 1 tsp (finely chopped)
- Cream 1 cup
- Parmesan Cheese - 1/2 cup
- Oregano 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Pepper powder
Method
- Heat a pan
- Add butter and when it melts add chopped garlic and saute till a nice aroma comes
- Add dried oregano and saute well
- Reduce flame and add cream and mix well
- Slowly add cheese and stir till it becomes a creamy consistency
- Add salt and pepper to your taste
- Allow to cool
