Chicken Seekh Kabab






Ingredients

  • Boneless Chicken  - 500 gms
  • Onion - 1/4 cup (finely chopped)
  • Chopped ginger - 1 tbsp
  • Chopped garlic  - 1 tbsp
  • Green chili (chopped)  -  4
  • Red chili flakes - 1 tsp
  • Soy sauce- 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Chili powder - 2  tbsp
  • Coriander Powder -1 tbsp
  • Garam Masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander Leaves (chopped) -  2 tbsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Butter - 1 tbsp
  • Egg white- 1  (optional)
  • Oil (for spraying)

Method
--------------
  1. Wash and clean the chicken and drain it so that the moisture is completely gone.You can also use a tissue and wipe
  2. Mince the chicken well.
  3. Add all the ingredients  except egg to minced chicken and mix well with hands.
  4. Finally add egg white and mix well.
  5. Take a wooden or metal skewer and place a handful of above mixture and roll it.
  6. Grill it on a grill/ oven/ or you can fry in a tawa or pan spraying little oil.
  7. Serve hot with pita bread , ghee rice, yellow rice, hummus, salad




Notes
----------
  1. The water content should be completely removed else you cant hold the kebabs to perfect shape.
  2. Use chicken with fat so that the kebabs will be soft.
  3. adding butter or cheese to kebabs prevents them from getting dry.
  4. Adding soy sauce gives a nice smokey flavor to kebabs.
  5. If you are using a wooden skewer dip in water for at least 3 hrs to prevent it from burning out.
  6. If you are frying in tawa , don't cover it with lid as the kebabs will be mushy and wont have perfect taste.
